- Read 1 Thessalonians 2:13–16. Why is God's Word essential for a church to endure? How can we help one another hold on to His truth?
- Read 1 Thessalonians 2:17–20. How should the joy of being together at Christ's return change the way we invest in relationships today?
TAKING IT HOME
- Who in the church has helped you endure? How did they encourage you?
- What is keeping you from sharing more of your life with others in the church?
- Who is someone you can intentionally encourage, serve, or invest in this week?

Community Prayer
We join together in the spiritual practice of prayer. Here's what our church family is lifting up this week:
SUNDAY - Father, we pray for your Spirit to open the eyes of our hearts to receive your Word today. Help us to take what we learn and apply it to our lives as we seek to conform to the image of Christ.
MONDAY - Father, today we ask you to be close to the brokenhearted as you have promised in your Word (Psalm 24:18). We ask that you comfort those experiencing sorrow and allow them to feel your presence and peace. Remind us to comfort each other as part of the family and body of Christ.
TUESDAY - Jesus, we worship you today and always. You are lovely and glorious, yet you came to earth and rescued us from sin. You are the light of the world and our hope for eternal life. Thank you for lighting our way (John 8:12).
WEDNESDAY – Father, we are so thankful for the rain you brought to our state at a time when it was very much needed. We pray today for people impacted by heavy rain, flooding, and winds last week. We ask you to provide those who need help with housing and repairs to get the resources they need.
THURSDAY - Father, today we pray for YRMC hospital facilities, doctors, nurses, staff, testing labs, and rehabilitation services. We thank you for hospice workers that provide such incredible service to those needing end-of-life care and for the support they provide to their patients’ families.
FRIDAY - Father, we praise you because you are worthy. Our sin highlights how unworthy we are and how much we need a Savior. We repent today of our sins and ask you for a clean heart and steadfast spirit (Psalm 51:10). We pray that you enable us by the power of your Spirit to live a life that glorifies you.
SATURDAY - Father, we pray for the instructors and leadership team of the Seminary in the Middle East to labor together with love and excellence so that the Gospel would resound among the nations. We pray for the students to endure and be transformed. We ask for your intervention in the approval process for visas to travel and study, and we pray for Dr. Z and his family to continue to experience your strength and provision.
