Here's what our church family is lifting up this week: SUNDAY - Father, may our trust in Jesus bring praise and glory to you. We ask you to help us ignore voices that try to define us by external factors like appearance, success, or other people’s opinions. Thank you that our identity is in Christ, and we pray you would help us remember that. MONDAY - Father, we pray for SRCF staff and ministry teams as duties and responsibilities are distributed differently during Matt’s sabbatical. We also pray especially for the Lynn family as Megan has begun treatment. TUESDAY - Father, we pray that those who are weighed down by depression would lay their burdens down before you. You know our needs before we ask, so we rest confidently in your certain love. We surrender to you our anxieties, worries, and uncertainties about the future. WEDNESDAY - Father, we thank you for the rain! You are our merciful provider and know exactly what we need. Our natural habitat urgently needs water, especially in times of drought. We too need water to quench the thirst of our spirits and we thank you, Jesus, for being our Living Water. THURSDAY - Father, we pray today for Prescott High School students to have respect for fellow students and faculty. We ask that you give them a desire to learn and help them to make wise decisions. As teenage students struggle with relationship challenges and social media issues, help them to turn to you and learn who they really are in Christ. FRIDAY - Father, we pray today for SRCF-supported missionary Michelle Crotts with One Collective. We join with Michelle in prayer for the ministry she manages in Honduras. We pray for the camps she runs and for her ministry to bear fruit. We pray also for her health and encouragement. SATURDAY - Father, we lift up Pastor Matt and Dianna to you today. We ask that you would honor Matt’s request to reflect clearly on life and ministry and that you would graciously give him wisdom for the years ahead. TUESDAY - Father, we pray that Pastor Matt and Dianna will have a meaningful season of rest, renewal, and time with you while they are in Japan. Please give them the time they need to focus on their love of Christ and also to deepen their love for one another. We pray that you will keep them safe and return them to us encouraged for the season ahead. WEDNESDAY - Father, today we pray for Yavapai County. We have been blessed by you to live in such a beautiful area and ask that you would protect us in this place. Protect the land from wildfires and other disasters. Protect the people from influences to follow any God other than you. Place godly people in governing positions and let Yavapai County be known for our love for you and each other. THURSDAY - Father, we pray that those who are struggling with depression would be able to lay their burdens down before you. You know our needs before we ask, so we rest confidently in your certain love. We surrender to you our anxieties, worries, and uncertainties about the future. FRIDAY - Father, we pray that we will not rely on our own imagined strength but rather acknowledge that we need your power. Please help us to recognize our personal limitations so that we turn to you for your power to work in our lives. SATURDAY - Father, we lift up the Solid Rock Reach Out ministry as they help meet the needs of the community by assisting with rent and utilities. MONDAY - Father, we thank you on this Labor Day for the work you have provided for us. Help us to honor you with our labor. We pray that you would provide employment for those who are looking for work. Help us to avoid laziness and to perform all of our work to the best of our abilities. TUESDAY - Father, we pray those impacted by the flash flood at the Grand Canyon. We ask that you would provide comfort to those who lost loved ones and healing to those who were injured. We are so very grateful for everyone involved with protecting the lives of those in danger and we are grateful for the warning system technology. We continue to pray for the victims of recent floods across the world and ask that these disasters might turn hearts to you. WEDNESDAY - Father, we pray for the Thrive ministry groups, both the weekly and monthly studies. We ask you to bless Thrive leadership, volunteers, and participants. Thank you for our church’s interest in the spiritual foundation and growth of our ladies as well as the importance of the community of women. We pray that the women who attend will be touched by your Spirit. THURSDAY - Father, we pray for a increased desire to know you more and to seek your kingdom. Lord, please help us to store our treasure in heaven and serve only you as our master. Help us to trust in you to provide for us as you have promised to do (Matthew 6: 19-33). FRIDAY - Father, we come to you today praying for your healing of those in our Solid Rock family who are suffering with illness or physical pains. We pray for you to heal their bodies and encourage their spirits. Lord, sustain us when we are sick and restore us to full health (Psalm 41:3). SATURDAY - Father, we pray today for forgiveness. Sometimes it seems like we want to do what is right and don’t do it, but rather end up doing just the opposite (Romans 7:15). We know we are fallen but we also know that because of the sacrifice of Jesus, complete forgiveness is available to those who believe in him and repent (Mark 1:15). Thank you for our church’s interest in the spiritual foundation and growth of our ladies as well as the importance of the community of women. We pray that the women who attend will be touched by your Spirit. THURSDAY - Father, we pray for a increased desire to know you more and to seek your kingdom. Lord, please help us to store our treasure in heaven and serve only you as our master. Help us to trust in you to provide for us as you have promised to do (Matthew 6: 19-33). FRIDAY - Father, we come to you today praying for your healing of those in our Solid Rock family who are suffering with illness or physical pains. We pray for you to heal their bodies and encourage their spirits. Lord, sustain us when we are sick and restore us to full health (Psalm 41:3). SATURDAY - Father, we pray today for forgiveness. Sometimes it seems like we want to do what is right and don’t do it, but rather end up doing just the opposite (Romans 7:15). We know we are fallen but we also know that because of the sacrifice of Jesus, complete forgiveness is available to those who believe in him and repent (Mark 1:15). Here's what our church family is lifting up this week: SUNDAY - Father, we praise you today because your name is majestic in all the earth. You have established strength and glory over all of your creation. You have given mankind such a special place of dominion and honor on the earth and when we consider how important we are to you as the Creator of the universe, we are humbled before you (Psalm 8). MONDAY - Father, we pray today for an urgency to share the Gospel with others. Help us to hear your voice and recognize those you have placed in our paths because you want us to speak to them about your love. “We may not speak like angels or preach like Paul, but we can tell the love of Jesus and that He died for all.” (Hark, the Voice of Jesus Calling) TUESDAY - Father, today we ask you to bless our Missions Team and give them direction as they seek your will for the various SRCF-sponsored missionaries of Solid Rock. We are thankful for those who sacrifice their time to actively work toward our mission objective, and to spread the Gospel locally and around the world. WEDNESDAY - Father, we give thanks to you today that you have called us to know and worship you. We turn to you to confess our sin and we repent, knowing that because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we are completely forgiven. We ask that we would be infused with your power as we seek your will and follow you. THURSDAY - Father, we know we don’t have the ability to be good enough to bridge the gap between us sinners and a holy God. Thank you for being rich in mercy toward us, providing a way for us to be reconciled through Christ. We praise you that you have saved us by grace through faith. FRIDAY - Father, you have placed each of us here in this time and place for a purpose and we pray that we continue to look to you for direction. We ask for guidance, wisdom, and strength to trust your timing and follow your path. SATURDAY - Father, we pray that you would draw us closer to you (James 4:8). We pray for a deeper relationship with you and seek to prioritize you and your Word in our lives. We know that your timing is perfect and we trust the path you set before us today. We pray that we would not merely be content with changing the outside—varnishing ourselves to look good to others—but that we would seek real heart change. We pray for the Holy Spirit to change us from the inside (Ephesians 4:17-32). MONDAY - Father, we commit this week to you, trusting that your plan for us is perfect. We thank you that you provide abundantly for us each day. We pray for your presence to be with us this week so that we would reflect your character. Help us guard what we say so that we would be a source of encouragement to others by speaking what is good and helpful (1 Cor. 4:25). TUESDAY - Father, today we pray for SRCF-sponsored missionaries Steve and Laura Newkirk with World Venture in Senegal. We continue to thank you for the Wolof translation of the Bible and for the ongoing production of the audio version. We ask for your blessings for Steve and Laura, as well as the Senegalese leadership and participation in the church. WEDNESDAY - Father, help us resist the kind of temptation that the world has to offer. Instead, we turn to you for the wisdom that enables us to make choices that are pleasing to you. THURSDAY - Father, we pray today for our church family. We are thankful for our leadership and this body of believers who are committed to Jesus. We ask that you would cause us to delight in your word, to seek to become more Christlike, and to move toward maturity in our understanding of the Gospel. FRIDAY - Father, we continue to pray for our nation. You have placed us all here for a purpose and with the opportunity to share the Gospel within the freedom of religion we enjoy. Help us not to take this precious freedom for granted. Increase our faith to trust you that our lives and the future of our country are safely in your hands. SATURDAY - Father, we pray that you would draw us closer to you. Reveal your truth, wisdom, and love to us, and help us to experience the fullness of your grace and peace. MONDAY - Father, we pray for Pastor Thomas Hodzi of Christ of First Importance Ministries (COFIM) and the Shona Bible Institute in Zimbabwe. We pray for the Hodzi family and the Covenanters Christian Church where he pastors. We thank you for calling Pastor Hodzi to serve you sacrificially and ask you to empower his efforts and all those who learn from him to spread the Gospel in Zimbabwe and beyond. TUESDAY - Father, we pray today for those that do not know you in our communities and in our lives. We ask that you would speak to them in whatever way reaches them, and that their hearts might be softened to your Gospel. May we be good examples of your love and represent you well as we share your love with others. WEDNESDAY - Father, we pray for the children as they are starting back to school. We ask that you encourage them to study well and give them abilities to succeed academically and socially. Calm any fears that accompany the school day and keep them grounded in you. THURSDAY - Father, we pray today for those in our church body who are suffering, whether because of illness or injury, financial struggles, difficult relationships, job stress, grief, or anything else. We pray that you would give them peace and hope in the midst of the darkness, remembering that you will carry them through it. Thank you that we have a living hope in you. FRIDAY - Father, help us to ascribe to you the glory due your name and to worship you in the splendor of your holiness. We praise you for your power, glory, might, sovereignty, and majesty. SATURDAY - Father, today we pray for our Executive Pastor, Jim Densmore, whose service to you enables us to worship you every Sunday without even thinking about everything done behind the scenes. Here's what our church family is lifting up this week: SUNDAY - Father, we praise you for your power and might. Help us to keep a proper understanding of who we are and who you are. Help us remember that you are the one who knows all things and can do all things, far beyond our ability to understand. MONDAY - Father, you created us and we are your people. You are good and your lovingkindness is everlasting. For this, we thank you and bless you and joyfully praise you (Psalm 100). TUESDAY - Father, we thank you for the beauty and wonder of your creation. You provide trees to give us shade, flowers to brighten our world, birds to sing to us, and water, even when we are in a dry season. The mountains and oceans display the majesty of what you have made. We are surrounded by the heavens declaring your glory and the sky proclaiming your handiwork (Psalm 19:1). WEDNESDAY - Father, we always rejoice in you and give thanks in all things (1 Thess. 5). We thank you that we can have an attitude of joyful contentment in any circumstance because of what you have done for us, and we are trusting that you are working all things out for our good. We wake up each morning by your grace and thank you for all the good things you have done for us. THURSDAY - Father, we thank you that we do not have to be anxious. We thank you that we can take our cares to you in prayer and that you fill us with your peace. We are grateful that because you are our helper, we don’t have anything to fear (Hebrews 13:6). FRIDAY - Father, thank you for your countless blessings and your unwavering love. We are appreciative of the gift of life, the air we breathe, and the food you provide. Thank you for strength for the body and for our health because every good and perfect gift comes from you (James 1:17). SATURDAY - Father, thank you for walking with us through some of life's most difficult times, giving us comfort and teaching us valuable lessons. We are grateful that you lead us in your truth and teach us as you guide us through each step of the journey (Psalm 25:4). Giving Your generosity makes our work in this city possible.
